This spring cake was for a bridal shower. The idea came from this cake out of Martha Stewart's Wedding Cakes book (so much inspiration in that book!). It was a white cake with lemon curd filling, frosted with lemon buttercream. This was my first attempt at gum-paste flowers. I know these daisies are basic, but now I'm feeling ready to try more difficult flowers! :)
OH MY GOODNESS! So pretty! THE YELLOW ONE IS MY FAVORITE! It just isn't fair...you took all of mom and dad's talent jeans and left nothing for meeeeee...I love you!
ReplyDeleteI "hired" JaNae to make this cake for the bridal shower and I was more then pleased with its results. The daisies were perfect; the yellow color was so sunny and bright; and the lemon flavor was out of this world! JaNae makes a beautiful cake!
