Yarn Balls

Our Young Women met their goal to knit 100 scarves for the Love Scarf Project. Great job girls! They needed something special to celebrate, and this is what I came up with!

Graveyard Cake

I had fun making this Halloween cake for a friend's daughter. It was a 6 inch chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. Because it's so small it's hard to get the full effect from the photos, but I think it turned out cute. :)

Kenya Cake

This was a farewell cake for a missionary headed off to Kenya! The inside was chocolate and yellow marble cake covered with chocolate buttercream.

Baby Roses

This cake was for a friend's baby shower. The top layer was chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, and the bottom was french vanilla with buttercream frosting. Both layers were covered with pink fondant.

Baseball Time

This cake was for a first birthday! It was yellow cake and complete buttercream! I made a smash cake also. It was fun to play with buttercream for a change!

Topsy Turvy Birthday

This bright, colorful, whimsy cake was for a friend's birthday! It was fun to try a topsy turvy cake. It was tricky, but I learned a lot!

Modern Blue and Brown

This blue and brown cake was for a baby shower. I love the satin finish of the chocolate fondant!

Green and Purple

This sweet cake was for another bridal shower. The bride's colors were lime green and purple. I loved the flowers on this cake.

While I visited family in May, my sister, mom, and I put together this funky little cake!

Sweet Butterfly

A group of ladies asked me to teach them how to make cakes with rolled fondant. Everyone's cakes turned out great! This pink butterfly cake was my demo! It was cherry flavored cake with almond frosting, covered with fondant! Yummm!

Experimenting

This cake was for my daughter's birthday. It's frosted in buttercream, and the flowers are made from royal icing!


This blue and white cake was for a bridal shower. The bride loved baby blue and hearts.
